Construction on the Lakeshore Commons development in Oak Creek has been underway for a while. However, experience gained with the developmental conditions led developer F Street Group to request revisions to the plan.
These revisions “better reflect the conditions (the developer) find themselves and the development in,” both field and market conditions, according to Oak Creek Director of Community Development Doug Seymour.
The project, 4005 E. Lake Vista Parkway, was initially proposed in December 2020 on 66 acres of former industrial land to create about 700 housing units – a mix of single-family homes and apartments.
The primary changes proposed, and unanimously approved, by Oak Creek’s Plan Commission Nov. 22, replace the 10 single-family attached villas on the northwest portion of the development with two eight-unit townhomes and two six-unit townhomes.
